I have decided to do a series on content creation, since content is a big part of digital marketing. In my last blog, we talked about avenues that you can get unlimited content ideas. If you missed the article, you can access it here
Today we talk about types of social media types that work.
1. Questions
Posting questions is a wonderful way to start a conversation and get engagement with your audience. Ask your followers/audience questions and get their feedback on your products, business. This makes the audience feel as part of your business and boosts your engagement rates.
2. Share A Story
Storytelling is a powerful marketing method. Stories make an impact to the person reading/listening and they tend not to forget the details of a story.
Other than that, a story connects your business/brand to the audience, making it relatable to them. When your audience sees that you relate and can actually solve the problem, then having them as customers is easy.
Eg, if you sell hair products, you can tell about your hair struggles, how you one day wore a wig to an event and your wig got stuck at the door and came off, revealing the patches of hair you had nicely concealed with your wig. Proceed to say how that day although embarrassing, made you embark on a journey to search for hair products that promote hair growth and that is how you developed your hair products.
3. Have funny content as well!
I love memes! They instantly make my day better. I get to laugh and relieve any stress I might be having. Sharing funny content makes people feel good and share these posts. Needless to say that the more people are sharing your posts, the better they will perform and your overall account will do well too.
4. Quotes
I know you are guilty of downloading a good quote from social media or sharing it to other people! This just tells you that this type of a post works well with diff audiences.
5. Videos
Videos have been performing very well as compared to other types of posts. It is evident from the success of TikTok, Instagram Reels & IGTV, YouTube & YouTube Shorts.
You can create different types of videos from product descriptions, animations, funny videos, and live videos.
Videos attract and retain social media users and keep them longer on the platforms, that is why they work so well.
6. Holidays
You probably already do this, but if you don't, start having holiday posts. You will stay relevant and engaged with your audience. Your calendar is sufficient to show you a list of all holidays.
