Change Is Inevitable: Are You Going Through Change?



Change is inevitable.

I learnt this the hard way. 1 year ago, I decided to resign from my job. I started a digital marketing gig and it grew from being a gig to sustaining me well.

It went well to a point got a deal with a tv station. Life was good. Well, until it wasn't.

Due to a family emergency, I had to forego the tv deal. I was now jobless, with bills, and mounting pressure.

My slogan for the past year was " I cannot go back to employment ". Here I was, wondering what to do. Employment was what came to my mind.



2 agonizing weeks later, I finally joined the corporate world.

I am now working for WorkPay, an online software company that provides HRM, Payroll, Payments and Time&Attendance solutions for employers to better manage their employees.

I immediately felt the change:

1. From self employment to employment

2. From working with a small team to working with a large team

3. From no morning and evening traffic, to parking lot like traffic😂

But change is inevitable and necessary for growth.

Organizations go through change too. Look at how the covid-19 pandemic changed the working environment. We are now preferring virtual meetings to physical ones.

We save on travel time, travel costs and still get the job done.

As much as this change was uncomfortable for most, it is now embraced.



I join WorkPay as part of their Business Development team, so you will probably be seeing more of me, telling you to join WorkPay as a client😀. 4. Manage your employee leaves. Bye bye paperwork. ( employees can even do it themselves. Your work is to review, approve or disapprove).

5. Pay your employees instantly. Yes, instantly. If an employee banks in a different bank, they receive their payments instantly.

6. Pay your statutory. No more bank queues. Pay directly from the software.

7. Get Time and Attendance functions. If you have field employees, they clock in, WorkPay app picks up their GPS and you confirm whether the employee has reported to their work station or not. Works very well for employees working in shift basis.
