7 Winning Lead Generation Strategies for 2021

Many companies struggle with generating leads for their business. Lead generation is the process of attracting an interested audience to your business. They do not have to necessarily buy from your business, but be interested in what you are offering.

Many businesses have large budgets for lead generation while some shy away from the process of lead generation, but having a smooth lead generation process can save your business money as well as time.

There are a number of lead generation processes such as cold emailing and creation of lead magnets. It is important to note that not all methods may work for your business so it is important to explore those that will work more so those that resonate with your target audience.

Here are 7 Lead Generation Strategies

A lead is a potential client that shows interest in what you are offering by sharing information about themselves such as their contact information or name. Usually this is attained by use of a lead magnet which could be a free item such as an e-book. Once the lead is captured, then the process of conversion begins.

Here are 10 Strategies you can use:
  • Use Pop-Ups on your website
Pop ups are the best way to capture your visitors information. It can be a prompt to join your email list or join your FB group. Make sure that the opt ins are irresistible ( hence the importance of knowing your audience and their needs.

  • Create Leads Magnets and Share them on Social media
Lead magnets work wonderfully when it comes to attracting the right audience. Think about an offer that you can give away for free in exchange for an email address or contacts.
This works well because you are giving value to your audience and building an email list for prospect conversions.

Social media can give you a big audience and once you share your free offers, you will be sure to receive a ton of interested parties.  Your lead magnet can be an e-book, a cheat sheet, free trials, free coaching, free consultation.

Think hard and decide what it is that you have to give and offers great value.

  • Use Chat Bots

I recently visited a website and their chat bot interested me. The chat box pops in, greets me and asks me whether I want to learn something interesting. So obviously this catches my attention and I say yes. The bot proceeds to give me some very interesting facts about digital marketing ( I can't remember what they were, but that does not matter because I did end up subscribing to their email list, so it was a win for them ).

Chat bots can convert visitors surfing your website and they offer quick assistance. You can use mobile Monkey to set up a chat box for your website. It's as easy as ABC oh, you can use them on Facebook, Instagram and SMS too!

  • Use forums
Forums have a concentration of potential clients and are very niche specific. But, it is important to note that you cannot just join a forum and start selling them your products, you need to actually engage with members. This is how you get to know what they need, and in return you will give them exactly what they need.

You can find forums in your niche by googling! Eg if you are a fitness coach, search " fitness forums" like this👇

You'll get a ton of ready audiences.

  • Use social media groups
These work just as well as forums because they are very niche specific. Again, join groups that have your audience and do not force feed them your products/services. Offer value and they will reciprocate by trusting you as a thought leader in your field.

Improve your social presence as well. When you share on groups, interested parties will want to check your profile. Make sure that when they do that, they find solutions to their needs.

  • Use Ads ( social media Ads )
These are the fastest way to show your products/services in front of your audience. Make sure that you actually target YOUR audience to save you on time and money.

Not only should you target the right audience, but you should write Ad copies that will compel your audience to take an action.

  • Create Landing Pages
A landing page is also called a lead capture page so you can already guess why I saved it for last.

Landing pages are single web pages that are created purposely for advertisement or marketing.

Let's use my example. I have an online course for coaches which I would like to promote. I create a landing page that shows what coaches will benefit from purchasing the course. What is included is a free digital marketing webinar and to sign up, you need to enter...ding ding ding...your email address and name!

And that is how I capture you as a lead. I did not sell you my course directly, rather I gave you a free webinar, for you to truly see how awesome the course is, you give me your contacts and I add you in my email list. If you do not purchase the course after the webinar, I still have a chance to show you the value of the course via newsletters!

Landing pages are usually short and straight forward and have good Call To Actions (CTA).
