5 Ways For You To Grow Your Business With Facebook

Facebook is the biggest social network worldwide with approximately 2.89 Billion monthly users.

The good news is that these users are your potential clients and Facebook can help you start, grow and scale your business.

However, Facebook's algorithm has taken a deep dive and posts have not been reaching as many people as before. As much as this is bad news, when done right, Facebook still has the potential to reach many people ( 2.9 billion people monthly is a pretty big number ).

So, how do you reach these people organically? Let's discuss.

What exactly is Organic Reach?

Organic reach is the number of people who see your posts/content without you paying for ads.

Paid reach is the number of people who see your posts/content because you used payed ads.

Let us first understand some terms when it comes to Social Media Marketing:

Reach- The number of unique people who see your content/posts

Engagement- The number of people who see and take action on your content eg like, share, comment

Impressions- The number of times your content/post is shown on news feeds ( no matter if it was clicked or not )

So you see it is important to track how many people see your posts and engage with them.

The more people engage with your content, your content will be shown to more people.

Here is how you can grow your business.

1. Change tactics and focus on getting leads.

Lead generation is something that is mostly overlooked, but can be a wonderful way to get customers for your business.

You need to attract prospect clients to your business and lead them to a sales funnel. You can create freebies such as eBooks and in exchange collect email addresses. Leads convert well given that they are already interested in your business.

Outside Facebook, use this tool to get leads for your business.

2. Be consistent

Consistency makes sure that the Facebook Algorithm shows your content to a wide range of people. Create a content strategy and a content calendar that will guide you on what to post and what time to post.

3. Get to know your audience

This is probably the most important point. The more you know about your audience, you will be able to create content that solves their needs or motivates them.

Get to know the following about your clients:
 Age
Gender
Location
Pain points
Purchasing power

Once you know this, you will be able to create better content that converts.

Take the time to understand what your audience wants.

4. Use Facebook Groups

Facebook groups are a great way to grow your business! Join Facebook groups related to your niche.

Avoid selling/ advertising all the time and instead focus on giving value and engaging with members. This way, you will be positioning yourself as a thought leader in your field, which builds trust and ultimately will drive customers to you.

5. Use A Facebook page

I saved this for last because it is often overlooked. It is important to have a Facebook page for your business. Separate business from personal posts.

Facebook pages have tools that can help you grow your business. Such tools include analytics, shops, and you can run Facebook Ads.

Make sure that your Facebook Page is optimized. Here's how you do it:

  • Have A profile picture (180 x 180 pixel) and cover image. You can also use a cover video.
  • Have a custom username to make people find your page easily.
  • Complete the about section and fill in all details in relation to your business.
  • Select the best template for your business.
  • Select your pages Call To action (CTA).
  • Enable reviews.

It is equally important to create content that is authentic and original. Creating content will be an easy breeze when you pay attention to point number 3.

Have you used Facebook before for your business?
